By He Reads Truth
Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
This week we will begin memorizing John 16:20, a verse that assures us of Christ’s comfort in the middle of mourning. Spend time this week memorizing the first half of the verse.
“Truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice. You will become sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn to joy.”
—John 16:20

Day 7
Lord, I come to You with a divided heart, aware of my weakness and my need for Your help.
I feel the pull of ongoing temptation, the strain of tension in my work, and the uncertainty of what lies ahead, and it leaves me unsettled and tired.
Nevertheless, I believe that You are present in all of this and that Your faithfulness has not failed me.
Give me strength where I am weak, clarity where I am uncertain, and steadiness so that I do not give in or lose direction.
I trust that You are still at work in me and that what feels slow and unresolved is not outside of Your care.
I will continue to come to You and hold to what is true, that You remain faithful and will not leave me.
