As we walk through these Minor Prophets together, we will memorize key verses from our reading. The key verse for the book of Joel calls us to true repentance.
Tear your hearts,
not just your clothes,
and return to the Lord your God.
For he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger, abounding in faithful love,
and he relents from sending disaster.

I️ have done some great stuff and also some messed up stuff. I️ read this and my pride and shame makes me want to turn and run the other way. But God keeps trying to pull me in. I️ try to fight I️t but the current gets stronger and stronger.
I️ want to take my sins go away but than I️ wouldn’t need Him. Realizing my sin nature makes me more aware of how much I️ need him.
