The Beatitudes

The Beatitudes, the opening section of Jesus's Sermon on the Mount, teaches about the rewards of living in God’s kingdom and the promises for those who endure suffering. The blessings mentioned in these eight verses—inheritance, mercy, comfort, and more—reflect deep longings of the human heart. But in the Beatitudes, these blessings are promised to some unlikely groups of people. Spend two weeks immersed in the Beatitudes as we see how the eternal hope of God’s kingdom is at work in the present suffering of His followers.
