As a Jewish exile in Babylon, Daniel sought to honor God even as he lived in a land of false gods and under the rule of foreign kings. Using historical narrative, apocalyptic literature, and prophecy, this book recounts the dreams, visions, and events of God’s exiled people. Above all, it is a story of how God is the King whose dominion has never been shaken nor will ever be shaken, no matter who is on an earthly throne.
