Scripture Reading: Proverbs 4:25–27, Proverbs 10:4-5, Proverbs 12:24, Proverbs 13:11, Proverbs 22:29
After completing your daily reading, come back to chat with fellow Bible readers about any reflections you have on the proverbs, introduction, or questions from today.
Before the entrance of sin and brokenness, God created Adam to rule over the garden and work it diligently. Also, Jesus taught us to pray, “Give us today our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11). Both of these truths in Scripture show that we are meant to both engage wholeheartedly with whatever we work at and depend on God for everything we need. We are not meant to be workaholics, but neither should we be idle—we give Him our best effort in the gifts He has placed before us.
Reflection Questions:
What do these proverbs call us to be diligent about?
In your opinion, what is the difference between laziness and rest?
What does Proverbs 13:11 teach us about how to work?

you relied on the video to make your point. You obviously
