By He Reads Truth
We believe memorizing Scripture is one of the best ways to carry God-breathed truth, instruction, and reproof wherever we go.
This week we’ve chosen a reminder that God is God and we are not. It is God who wins the battles:
“The Lord will fight for you; you must be quiet.”
-Exodus 14:14
Write this verse down and post it on your mirror or at your desk, in your car or on the fridge—anywhere you’ll see it often. Save the image below as your phone’s lock screen so you can read these words of truth throughout the day.
We want to be a community that is intentional about scripture memorization. Will you join us?

God is powerful and full of grace to be fighting our battles. He does not leave his children helpless, instead he is a God who protects and enables his children to conquer sin through Jesus empowered by the Holy Spirit for the Glory of the Father.

Thankfulness, patience in Gods plan for me, trusting in the Lord and asking him to fight my battles.

It reminds me of the grace of the cross and how we can’t, even if we wanted to, we could not pay for our sins. God is so powerful and can overcome anything. We just need to let Him fight for us. Jesus fought for us and won.

Man is incapable of fighting his own battles against sin. We are weak and selfish without God.

God, I cannot do this in my own. I am weak and not able. My heart is broken and dark and I don’t want to fight for you. But God you don’t need me to fight. You don’t need me too defend you because you are all powerful. You are full of love and grace and fight out battles for us. All I need is to be still and quiet, trusting in your ways. Help me to rely on you for strength and to rely on you and ask you to fight my battles with sin and my heart. Thank you for you who you are God. Thank you for Jesus. In Jesus name amen.
