Day 3

United in Christ

from the reading plan

John 17:20-26, Ephesians 4:1-6, Galatians 3:28, 1 Corinthians 1:10-13, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Philippians 2:1-4, Romans 15:5-6, Revelation 7:9-17

Since 2015, He Reads Truth has maintained a singular mission: to be men in the Word of God every day. Seven years later, our community includes “Hes” from across the globe, but our mission hasn’t changed.

Reading Scripture together is the centerpiece of what we do at He Reads Truth. As we spend time as a community reading This Is The Church, we encourage you to start by reading the daily Scripture on your  own. Then join us here to engage and encourage one another as we respond to what we’ve read. Each day for this series, we’ll include a brief summary of the reading along with a prompt for conversation.

Followers of Jesus Christ are called to pursue oneness as we remain connected to our Triune God, the source, sustainer, and perfect example of unity.

As you reflect on Scripture today, take time today to pray for brothers and sisters in Christ around the globe. Share what you are praying for the global Church along with your response to the reading in the comments.

  1. Mark W says:

So blessed to feel a small part of being “one” in God’s Church. And these scriptures draw that need, that desire, that beauty to the forefront this AM. HRT also affords us (me) that opportunity each day to know men (and women via SRT) are sharing in the same thoughts and scriptures around this floating rock we call Earth. Blessed to be part of the “one” because of The One. Praying now for the global Church from Louisville, KY.

  2. Ryan K says:

I am praying that the church everywhere would be awakened to the activity of the Holy Spirit and would be united with the Father and the Son through the same Spirit. I am praying that we would all look to the same Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and that we would be led by the Holy Spirit to glorify Him in whatever way He desires.

    1. paul says:

      Amen!

  3. John N says:

I am praying that the church would desire the unity that the Holy Spirit offers by us humbling ourselves, living at peace in the body and loving our brothers and sisters in Christ. Also, praying for our persecuted brothers and sisters who struggle to meet corporately to worship without fear from persecution.

  4. Tim G says:

My church, unfortunately, recently went thru strife causing a division. These versus string together so beautifully, powerfully encouraging how and why unity is possible and needed. I’m thankful this morning for today’s HRT and will be sharing.
