Grace Day
Open Your Bible
Jeremiah 33:14-16
Take this day as an opportunity to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.
“Look, the days are coming”—
this is the LORD’s declaration—
“when I will fulfill the good promise
that I have spoken
concerning the house of Israel
and the house of Judah.
15 In those days and at that time
I will cause a Righteous Branch
to sprout up for David,
and he will administer justice
and righteousness in the land.
16 In those days Judah will be saved,
and Jerusalem will dwell securely,
and this is what she will be named:
The LORD Is Our Righteousness.
—Jeremiah 33:14–16

I love how this verse shows us His plans. How this was all mapped out. His little pockets of Grace waiting around each corner in time. And the space in between is the freedom to live our own lives with the ongoing invitation to have a close relationship with Him. Oddly, the concept of trust hits me at this moment. We are His children to which He gives enormous freedom. He trusts in His own creation so much that He knows that freedom will eventually turn us to Him.
