Day 6

Grace Day

from the reading plan

Luke 16:13

Take this day as an opportunity to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

“No servant can serve two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
– Luke 16:13

What masters do I have a tendency to serve?
    – Procrastination
    – Praise/Approval
    – Gluttony/Food/Drink
    – Lust/Eyes
    – Money/Security
    – Peacemaking/ Avoiding Blame

Today, my struggle is procrastination. I am failing to honor the Lord through my work, and am instead seeking joy through means other than productive impact. Father, help me to honor you in the way that I work.

God has revealed to me that to please others on this earth does not mean anything! It is only faith by speaking with your mouth and believing in your heart! These are the two most powerful tools we have! We have a choice to use them to create or destroy here on Earth! What good can we create without God and what evil can we destroy without God?!
