Day 13

Grace Day

from the Romans reading plan

Colossians 1:13-14

Take this day as an opportunity to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son he loves. In him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
– Colossians 1:13-14

I am grateful that the Lord calls us to this “death” of ourselves, our old selves. It seems a bit frightening at first, but it brings life because of the power of Jesus through the Holy Spirit that He gives us and promises to us, for all who believe and trust in Christ. I don’t know about you, but I can be a slow learner. The Bible says that it’s God’s goodness that leads us to repentance. I’m grateful for his patience and for the knowledge of Him.
My prayer to you, oh Lord, is that you will continue to work in me, to renew my mind and transform me into the image of Jesus Christ.
