  1. Tony says:

Why does the psalmist pray for Lord to give strength?

    He is gracious.
He knows that we (his people) are weak and we need strength.
He know where strength is found. In the Lord.
He knows the Lord gives liberally (his people)
He knows that Life is hard. Strength is needed.
He knows that God cares about his people and supplies them with the strength they need.

Why does the psalmist pray for the lord to give peace?

    He is gracious.
He knows that his people are chaotic and hostile. We need his peace.
Peace is only found in him.
    He gives liberally.
Life is hostile. We need peace.
God cares about his people and wants them to love in peace.
