By He Reads Truth
We give thanks to God for His cleansing gift of baptism through His Son.
Take this day as an opportunity to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord. Pray this Scripture for a specific person in your life and for yourself:
As they were traveling down the road, they came to some water.
The eunuch said, “Look, there’s water! What would keep me from being baptized?”
And Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart you may.”
And he replied, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”
–Acts 8:36-37

The gospel allows us to be close with God based on belief. When we truly believe our actions are different.

I need to respond with belief that leads to actions.

Heavenly Father,
It is good to talk with you again; I miss you a lot. I started reading fiction, and finding comfort and relaxation in fantasy books, and in Netflix. God, I no longer seek you in my stress, fear, or anger. I find gong to Church tedious. Lord, please help me; I need your healing for my mind and soul. Please lead me to truth and light; I need you to see, hear and speak. Amen.
