Day 33

from the Lent 2016 reading plan

Revelation 21:5

Memorizing scripture is a way to carry God’s Word with you wherever you go, keeping God-breathed instruction, reproof, and truth in your heart and mind each day. This week, we’re memorizing Revelation 21:5.

Then the One seated on the throne said, “Look! I am making everything new.”

God will remake everything. Gods Words are true. God allows humans to write down His true Words. God commanded humans to write His Words so they would be remembered.

Men who wrote the Bible often did so as a direct command from God. The writing of scripture was an act of obedience. Man can believe all of God’s words.

God is Good, and He reveals truth to man. God is on the throne and I can trust that when the world looks to evil to redeem. God is redeeming even me!

Heavenly King, I know your Word is true and your actions just. I trust in you. Command so that I may obey; teach so I may learn; sanctify so I may be found holy; give me faith so I my be found righteous. You are the giver of all good gifts. I give he only gift I have, myself, and wait expectantly for what gifts you will give me as well. I love you Lord, thank you for the cross; amen.
